Component Degreasing

Grease and dirt can prevent bonding, welding, and painting. They can prevent the shipment of a product to the customer, or even contaminate a water supply. NTS can help with the cleaning of any material, removing machine oils and other contaminants without jeopardizing the material's integrity or your budget. In non-critical applications, visual, water break, and black light inspections can keep your costs down while assuring that hydrocarbon-type contaminants have been completely removed. Most components can be degreased with the right combination of aqueous (alkaline based) cleaners and copious amounts of DI (Deionized) water. In some instances, NTS will suggest a different type of degreasing agent or/and additional drying methods for small parts where water entrapment could lead to problems.

Degreasing of Large Systems & Parts

What kind of product do you need degreased? NTS will help you with carbon steel, stainless steel, copper, aluminum, plastic or any other material. If you're putting a system back on line after a long period of disuse, degreasing fabricated structures for plating or painting, removing oily residue and rust from carbon steel, or just want to make plain piping look better, NTS can help. Carbon steel systems can pose particularly challenging surface areas for removing gross contaminants, but NTS is equipped to use hot caustic first and then perform a thorough high volume flushing to assure complete cleanliness. With brand new or refurbished systems, NTS can provide complete hydro testing and leak checking as part of our service.
