Hydrocarbons trapped in an oxygen system create the fuel that can cause an accidental fire or explosion. Over the last 40 years NTS has cleaned thousands of systems and millions of parts for oxygen services and has kept a perfect record. If your system is too large to move, our field services can come to your site and perform precision cleaning of all surfaces that come into contact with oxygen; or, you can ship the parts and sub-systems to our cleanroom facilities. NTS cleans to all industry standards (such as CGA), Navy, aerospace and Mil-standards/specifications.

Field Services

Factories with furnaces, autoclave systems, gold mines, aerospace facilities and launch complexes, refineries and gas producing plants, hospitals and even lab and test facilities all require oxygen cleaning either at start-up or after a modification/update. Generally, oxygen system cleaning means a thorough degreasing to an industry specified level and in some cases removing excess rust with a caustic or a citric acid process (carbon steel) or a combination of hydrofluoric and nitric acid (stainless steels). As a metallic particulate, rust can be a cause of ignition and a cleaned systems need often be preserved and treated to prevent further rust formation. While critical to safety, oxygen cleaning can often be a simple process and NTS has the time proven expertise to perform the job quickly and at a reasonable cost.
