Precision Cleaning Systems for Ozone Water Treatment
To improve water quality, disinfect and sterilize it, remove inorganic contaminants and do it all while avoiding chlorine use, some water districts, factories, aerospace facilities, and housing communities are resorting to ozone water treatment. This type of treatment uses a three-atom oxygen/ozone molecule (O3) generated via a dielectric process from oxygen (O2). The O3 is then injected into the water to oxidize organic and inorganic materials. Many times the ozone method is a more economic and safe method of improving water quality than chemical treatment.
Installing an ozone treatment & pump station requires that water lines be at least visually cleaned and that oxygen supply lines, valves, storage, and transfer vessels be cleaned for oxygen service. In some instances, stainless steel lines will also require passivation, and carbon pipes may need acid cleaning and treatment with citric acid for rust resistance. If the ozone generation station was built to support a cooling tower, additional cleaning on the tower itself may also be required.
NTS field services are available at your convenience to provide a prompt estimate, plan the job out (such as how to hook the systems up to flush most efficiently), and then complete the precision cleaning and passivation within your slotted schedule window. We will also help you identify areas that might benefit from cleaning and passivation to extend the system's life and maximize the savings you expect from an ozone treatment system.
