For example, NTS's extensive Telecom Network Architecture And Interoperability Laboratory (NAIL) features several Class 5 switches including a Lucent 5ESS, a Nortel DMS 100 and a Siemens EWSD, and over sixty enclosed platform test cells each with 24 Cat-6 cables. The NTS NAIL provides telecom equipment manufacturers and service providers a unique environment to test interoperability of next generation packet-based VoIP devices with the legacy circuit switched equipment. Interoperability of TR-57, TR-08 and GR-303 interfaces can be tested, verified and certified.
