PRI Testing

PRI (Primary Rate Interface) is a telecommunications standard for carrying multiple voice and data transmissions. Typically used in ISDN or T1/E1 communications, NTS can perform testing on your PRI hardware using our Class 5 switches. The NTS Telecommunications Network Architecture and Interoperability Laboratory (NAIL) provides telecom equipment manufacturers and service providers a unique environment to test interoperability of next generation packet-based VoIP devices with the legacy circuit switched equipment.

Typically, PRI compatibility and functionality testing includes testing features such as Layer 1 & Layer 2 establishment, failure & recover, channel failure and recovery, outgoing/incoming call routing, voice and data calls, and other areas. In addition, NTS can perform testing to popular telecom standards such as TR-057, TR-067, TR-08, and GR-303.
