NTS has one of the most extensive dynamics test capabilities in the world. Over 90 electro-dynamic and electro-hydraulic exciters are available for vibration testing, from components to whole systems for automotive, aircraft, shipboard, and rail. Capabilities vary from very low seismic frequencies to over 10kHz.
For example, one of our dynamics laboratories consists of climate controlled satellite buildings all managed from a central control facility. There are 56 control channels, which allow all four vibration facilities to operate simultaneously. Each site is capable of on-stand conditioning of the test article(s) in temperatures ranging in excess of +350°F (+176°C) to below -150°F (-101°C). The shakers are each capable of 35,000 lbf (155,000 N) with varying sized slip tables available for the smallest to the largest of test articles.
