Microsoft Zune Accessories Testing Program

NTS has been selected as an authorized test facility to run Microsoft's Zune Accessories Testing Program for third-party products.

The Zune is line of digital media players from Microsoft allowing users to carry thousands of songs and/or hundreds of hours of video wherever they go. The popular Zune media players have spawned a growing third-party manufacturer community who are creating new and unique peripherals for the Zune, such as docks, headphones and car chargers. In order for these products to be advertised as licensed Zune accessories, they must first undergo a detailed compliance program through NTS.

During certification, products are subjected to a battery of tests within a controlled environment to ensure the product will function correctly. Depending on the type of product, theses tests may include electrical, functional, mechanical, cosmetic, packaging, and drop tests (among others) to guarantee that the Zune accessories meets Microsoft's quality standards.
